Cornice Engineering, Inc. was founded in 1992. Cornice principals have a core competency that has been developed from extensive professional experience in utilities, particularly electric cooperatives, and through the pursuit of advanced technologies derived from contract research and development. From this technological base we are able to offer our clients state-of-the-art tools designed to meet specific utility challenges.
We specialize in enterprise-wide integration of information systems and applications, including the definition and deployment of Smart Grid technologies. We are active in many of the leading-edge developments affecting the interoperability of the Smart Grid and its challenges.

Cornice principals have unique, in-depth domain expertise with both the MultiSpeak® Specification for interoperability of enterprise software and the IEC 61968 Common Information Model (CIM). We have played a leading role in the development of the MultiSpeak® specification and continue to lead its expansion. We can also offer assistance in specifying and deploying leading edge utility automation technologies including: advanced metering infrastructure (AMI) systems, meter data management (MDM) systems, geographic information systems (GIS), and supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) systems.
